I am about to buy some blue diamond pearl wrap from drum maker. I figure I need 3 1/2 full sheets for a 5 piece kit. Will the drum suppliers like drummaaker.com sell 1/2 a sheet?

At Drummaker, when you click on the style of finish you want, there's a box at the top of the items. You can click on that, and a box will drop down, and you can select 1/2 sheets.... cut tall or long.... the ones they have to offer like that will show up in the items list then. I think not all are available, but a good many are. Your blue diamond is.... !

Poppy !!! How goes it??
I always look forward to seeing your projects !!!
As soon as I can scare up the bucks, I'm looking to wrap a "Deep Popper" snare in that finish.... it will be nice to be able to see it on some drums when you are done.

I have a Gretsch Blackhawk fusion kit in almost excatly that finish. I rent it to the sound company my brother manages here in town. The gretsch has a
14" tom that mounts to a cymbal stand. They all like the gretsch drums, but prefer a 16" floor tom with legs, so I decided to wrap the premier kit in the blue diamond pearl finish and include the FT with the gretsch kit. I get $100 a day for the kit and $200 a week for it. I bought the entire kit including all the gibralter stands and hardware used from guitar center for $185. I include a sabian B8 cymbal set with it. I tungoiled the insides of all the shells on the gretsch and put all new evans G2 heads. It sounds pretty dam good!

What size is that snare. I will have two pieces left over from the 3 1/2 sheets I ordered. i will have a 8X54 piece and a 5 3/4 x 54" piece left over according to my calculations.

It's an 8 and 3/8ths x 13 Kent tom shell.
The 8x54 piece should work just fine.
If you wind up having it left over, I'd be happy to buy it from you..... just let me know.
Thanks, Poppy

I got my wrap. I finished the floor tom already. Drum maker was suposed to cut my bass drum inlay strips from one of my sheets, but they didn't. They cut the inlays out of another sheet, so I will end up with 2 8X54 pieces left over if I dont screw anything up. I'll take $25 for a 8X54 piece when Im done.
