Anyone out there have a Trixon Speedfire kit they'd like to sell?
I'd even be interested in just acquiring the ever-so-elusive Trixon Speedfire bass drum.
Also known as the Vox Jetfire, these kits have the "egg shaped / melted" bass drums and look like this:

These were first manufactured in Germany in the 50's and are about as common as a vegetarian at a White Castle drive-thru ;)
Thanks,
Mark

Hello Mark,
I know your post is pretty old by now, did you ever find that Speedfire you were looking for? I have a set for sale and is in very rare condition.
Thank you,
David
There's a Trixon snare at www.wannabeadrummer.com if that helps any.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for your help / suggestions.
I'm actually not in the market for this kit anymore.

Hopefully by weeks end. My father passed away last May and have no financial records on his collection. Finding or researching prices is very difficult and SLOW so that is why I'm open to offers. Your offers will also help me to determine the value and a fair asking price. We have a huge collection and posted only a few on the website. Little by little our family will get through his collection and will post as soon as they are appraised.
Thanks
Dave

Hi Mark,
You found yourself a set or did you stop looking?
I'm selling because i'm a sonor Teardrop (and older) collector and need the space for more Sonor's, although these Trixons are very special and "odd".
