Can you fine folks help me figure this one? 8-lug w/P-338, 5x14 solid mahogany shell, but it has a walnut (?) air hole liner grommet. I don't know if Ludwig did that. What is this drum? It came w/case and accessories pictured.

There's no sign of any logo on the hoops, tho they're identical in color/fade as the rest of the hardware. No markings inside the shell either. The scarf joint of the shell's seam is just flawless on the inside, about 8 inches from the exterior janky seam (what--their lathe only worked on the inside of the shell??).

So, y'all got any notions to the identity, age, and value of this drum? Thanks a bunch!

Derek

Hi Derek,
It looks like a Leedy shell with L&L hardware...1929 was when Leedy & L&L were bought by C. G. Conn so these two company's drums were built literally across the room from eachother...do you want to sell the drum keys? If so please contact me at: mike@curottodrums.com
