Well here it is...... the 6 digit serial number puts it at late 60's if I am not mistaken.

Nice Drum IMO

I have had it for years....like 20 years it was in storage...I used it as a "tom" a few times but never cleaned her up......I was going to sell it and decided to clean it last week......Man it is pretty.... what you see is where I am at.... I need both hoops, a throw off ( I hope a lightning and not a microsensitive) and butt and all the lugs.
Im taking it slow as I am saving for double portion of my new single trick pedal.... But Thanks.... I CANT WAIT to her it.
I have a 1970 slingy COB that I use live and I Love that snare....I wonder if this will sound as good.....I cant imagine it sounding better but I have been surprised before.

ZZ post the parts you need in the wanted section, also the gretsch will sound different than your slingerland will, but that's a good thing, once you get it up and running you'll be all smiles!!!

You can tell by the bolt pattern for the butt end. If it has 4 holes for the butt end its a Microsensitive type throwoff and butt. If its only 2 vertical bolt holes, thats for a fishtail adjustable butt and it SHOULD be an early Lightning throwoff.

Darn Darn.......4 holes on the butt end.....I guess my hunt is for a Microsensitive throw off and butt-end.

EDIT!!!!!

Maybe I am confused between butt and throw-off??...but MY drum has 3 larger holes on one side and directly across from that it has 4 small holes!

BUT WAIT..... I did a little bit of research Do these 2 pictures show a 4 hole on the butt side...??:?

Hey,Z on the photos on the ebay snare the butt side is the 4 hole screws--in photo3 shows the lighting throwoff..If iam right the strainer on that drum has been changed out from a miro strainer[litey made strainer] to the lighting one[[much better made strianer]] both strainers had 3 mounting holes..Mikey

So I could get the 4hole Microsensitive....Butt end...and the lightning throw off...and still be considered VINTAGE???
