I bought these yesterday, 2-20" 1969 B/O bass drums, with 12-13 rack toms and a 16" floor tom and supraphonic snare, plus 4- 1979 B/O concert toms 8,10,14,15" all in silver sparkle, in fiber cases. I have been studyin the catalogs and best i can figure is the original owner was trying to put together a double bass sextet kit. He had two tom holders clamped together to simulate the sextet set up. One of the bass drums has a cymbal holder bolted to it and looks like he added that, because the position of it isnt at all what I see in the catalogs. (not good) :(. The worst thing about these drums is the interiors of the shells have all been painted BLACK DOH. He removed the bottom heads and lugs from the bass drums and floor tom and 2 toms, but they were in a sack. I have them. The chrome on all the drums is in unbelievable good shape There isnt a scratch on any of the shells. it also came with 3 ghost pedals and cymbals and stands. I havent even looked at the cymbals yet.

I set up my new kit and played it this mornin. The bass drums dont sound too good. The supraphonic snare sounds fabulous! The toms all need to be tuned. here's what they look like

That's a really cool set! Looks like it's a blast to play too. I love all the toms and that's some massive heavy duty hardware to hold all those toms up!
Enjoy!

I could never justify buying a set with that many pieces. Maybe if it was a 60's blue-note.Yes Sir

I have 4 toms and a f tom at the jamhole.
The guy who owned this was a great drummer. Best I can figure he bought the hollywood kit new in around 69 and got a extra bass drum at that time. 10yrs later he bought the the concert toms. Looks like he was trying to simulate the Sextet kit from the late 70's - early 80's
