Not that bad once I got it figured out. See pics below.

These are my jigs, solid rods of aluminium with 2 different sized holes in each. I would heat the jig/rod, then place a piece of solder in the rod, heat some more the put the wire in the tube, let if firm, then heat the rod again just a bit with some pressure to get the solder to release from the rod but not pull the wire out of the solder...

Anything is possible if the desire is there huh?
My girlfriend says the same thing about me being on that Hoarders show. I buy drums explaining to her that they are worth more that I paid, but I never sell anything!! lol
