I am just making a survey to see if there is any interest in old Romanian made 'Doina' drums. They are cheapo products, not sure about the type of wood, minimal hardware etc, nothing spectacular (see pics). Production stopped somewhere in the 70's or 80's I guess but there are still a few kits to be found once in a while here. Needles to say they go rather cheap. So, maybe there is a collector here who would like to get such a kit just 'for the record' and before they all go into the fireplace?

For me any well made old drum its interesting and collectable. Those look funny because of the sizes (kinda 80's powertoms mixed with a 60's BD and FT). The hardware looks not that nice though. Id' buy them in a second if they were close to my area and for a rasonable price. But I guess the shipping might kill a lot of the interest from the American Colectors...I just ask you not to throw them on the fire place. Im sure a kid on your neighborhood would be thrilled to have them

Well, no, I don't have them and if I did I wouldn't throw them away :). The idea is that as I am constantly scanning the local market here I came across a few of these sets and simply wondered if they would be of interest to someone. They are sold for almost nothing now and while very few remain fewer get actually used. People prefer to spend 400 dollars on a no name new kit (can't blame them in this situation) and these drums get to be thrown out in the garbage (not that many would mourn them). Now if there would be someone who would want such a drum I could try and get it and send them over. And just to make it clear - I'm not dreaming to get rich out of this but I am looking for real interested collectors (if any) who would pay the neccessary s&h.

Ya know, if those are 14" floor toms, and the snares can be made to sound OK, I might be interested in looking at those. Can figure a rough estimate shipping to Oklahoma, 73071" It would be mostly the floor toms and snares I would be interested in tho. What is the shell construction on the toms? Looks like a decent shell.
And perhaps some of those cymbals...I like funky metal noises.

Shipping will not be cheap I'm afraid, any idea how much such a kit would weight? I am not good with such estimations, but I rekon these should be a bit lighter than the average solid drumkit.

I would say for the floor tom and a snare, you are looking at around 20 pounds with proper packing materials and box. I love the sound of a well prepared 14" floor tom.

Shipping of 60pounds to USA would be somewhere between 250 and 300usd depending on packaging and insurance.
