Slingerland 22 X 14 Bass (gold Hardware)

Is the gold (plated) hardware common? I am not interested in this drum but thought someone might be. Seems high but I am not too familiar with Slingerland drums.

Yea I think its just a crappy picture, I have seen quite a few late 70s Slingys with gold hardware though, they are out there.
