Me either,but w/o a snare do you think they,re a little pricy?...did you see the orange spkl kit as well?

No, I don't think they are too pricey, judging from what I can see in the pictures. If I did not already have a kit in this color, I'd probably be bidding on them, even without the snare.

1. They appear to be in excellent condition cosmetically.
2. They are the much less common smaller jazz sizes.
3. It looks like the seller is including a nice Ludwig hi-hat stand and some kind of snare stand, kick pedal, etc...
4. I'm sure the hi-hat's are nothing to write home about, but that 18" Zilco crash/ride could be a very nice sounding cymbal. I have a 20" and I love it. Very dark, mellow and full of mojo.

To my eyes, the kit is ready to play, with the addition of a snare (could use just about anything with it - Acrolite, Supra, etc...).

You know... I do have some gig money burning a hole in my pocket and I just realized that they are located in MA, so I could pick them up and save the $75.00 on the shipping.

hmmmm... Maybe I'll add them to my watch list, just in case.

I wouldn't be surprised if the bidding kicks in on the last day and they go for $400.00 or more. Of course if that doesn't happen, I just might have to jump in on these. I have 2 snares that match already and this kit looks to be in better shape than my current kit.

That is a sweet set, anyone know if the bearing edges are beveled or flat on this vintage?

Oops, I can kind off see that they are through that last picture and it's 1967 too, I don't think anything
was flat at this point...

I can't see anything in the pictures telling me the edges are round or flat. It's always a gamble with a Kent drum, but if you have the tools, skills or the money to pay someone with the tools and skills, these can be awesome drums.

And you might just luck out and get a kit which has the nice round over edges to begin with. Either way, I'm a Kent fan (in case you didn't know that already) and have no problem working on a drum to bring out the best in it.

Until the big name vintage U.S. drums drop down to this price level, I'll be a Kent fan. I don't think we'll ever see that happen, but you just might see more Kent's appearing on stages, being played by budget minded drummers like myself.

As for the light-up green kick... just another bonus!!! NOT!

In the second to last picture of the close up drum head I can see the bearing edge, there's no re-ring and I can barely see a beveled edge through that white head. Yeah, no way to see what condition the edge itself, but your
saying they can sometimes be flat like a MIJ toy thing?

I was thinking the same thing about affordability with Kent kits, just don't see
to many full kits for sale...

Right, which is why $300.00 for even a 3 piece is not a bad price. $400.00... well, you have to decide how badly you want them because the addition of a matching snare might run you upwards of $100.00 (for a near mint condition drum).

So you're looking at $500.00 for the full kit, or closer to $600.00 with shipping on both items. At that price, you're getting into the realm of a 4 piece Slingy and maybe a Ludwig Standard or Club Date.

Even I would consider the other two over the Kent's purely because of re-sale value. Sure, 10 or 20 years from now, Kent kit's might be selling for $600.00 or more, but there's no way to know that for sure. By then, Ludwig and Slingy kits could be $1000.00 or more for a 4 piece.

What if you could get this kit for just 300 dollars flat?

I happened to live near this guys store and i emailed him on ebay and called him and he said that if i want i can come pick it up and he'll do it for 300 bucks.

Is that a good deal for this kit if it's in as good of condition as it appears to be?

Also, do the cymbals have any worth? It just seems like a good kit for me because i wanted a kit with those sizes plus i need a good hihat stand and snare stand and those things seem to be included in this kit.

Yes, $300.00 IMHO is a reasonable price. $250.00 or $200.00 would be a steal. I paid roughly $400.00 (or a bit more) for my champagne sparkle kit when all was said and done, and I'm not including the personal time I sunk into the drums to get them playable.

This is assuming they are indeed as nice as they look. If I were to go have a look at them, and I might, I'd really want to go over them with a fine tooth comb. If he just want's to dump them quick, he should be willing to take less $$$.

I'm strapped for time right now so I'll just have to hope they are still around in a week or two.
