1967 Beverley help

This kit is pristine except for this floor tom. The shell is not damaged but the wrap doesn't quite meet up. How did it shrink? Would a hair dryer or heat gun help or hurt(?) 'cause I've managed to save all the loose pieces over the years. The wrap is so rigid- is it even possible to repair this?

I'm sorry I can't help here, but I saw Beverely and thought I'd mention I have a Beverely 16 Crash cymbal - Made in England (Premier I think?).

It sounds like quite a task you have ahead of you. All I know about hair dryers is that it works to "shrink" a loose plastic drum head - smooth out a wrinkled area. I watched a someone doing that a few weeks ago.

There are a couple of companies (Colorwrap, Rockenwraps and others...) that will make a custom wrap for you. You need to send a sample of the design you need
Its not going to be cheap though...
IMHO the Floor tom wrap its beyond repair.

Thanks fella's for the great info- might try a custom wrap, i guess, but for now i used a little 3M. Walking I'll just face it to the inside...

The old Acetate had the bad habit of cracking like this around mounting holes over the years. You won't get it to stretch back. Get a new replacement from the places the guys mentioned. Keep the old wrap for repairs to the shells you have intact.
