Hello,
I just purchased a pair of Vintage Gon Bops congas and was wondering if anyone here could date the congas or give me a rough estimate of their value. (please see picture, attached)

Each drum has 5 lugs. The metal face plates are marked as "TRADITIONAL" model. They seem to have original heads w/ the Gon Bops logo, few scratches and scuffs, no cracks, and no sign of rusting. The metal rings are fairly intact, although two rings on the conga are not fully fastened (though thoroughly attached), and the bottom ring on the quinto has a ring coming off slightly with a minor bend at the edge. There is some discoloration low on the drums, probably caused by low-seated, single conga stands.

Any thoughts or knowledge about this type of drum is welcome.

Thanks!

Lisa

Very cool looking drums. Are they actually as "blue" as they appear in the photo? Looks like a good find to me.
