Ok first off you are on the east coast, and we got from 7 to 20" of snow, So you hop in your car to go buy a set of ole crusty set of slingerland drums, with all the hardware, in a snow storm, WAY TO GO!!!!!! does your wife know of this problem, I love slingerland drums and so will you if not already, the cow wrap is durable and made to last, now go play em!!!!!!!!!!!!Clapping Happy2Clapping Happy2 your kit are the 3 ply shells and are mid 70's, these sound supurb

Nice catch, indeed.
How does the leather on the hh stand hold up? Is that the cow wrap?
I have a chance to pick one up tomorrow but I am afraid its gonna snap once I start playing.
Great looking kit.

the leather strap is very durable, and if it breaks replacements are not hard to find or make and yes chrome over wood wrap "cow" now go get that kit.

Nice kit!!! Im trying to get a set exactly like that around my area (minus the hardware)...How much should be the value of a set like that?

thanks for the respose guys. i thought they were 3 ply too. i will post some more pics later. i cleaned them up and they look awesome. my wife wasnt too happy about me going out in 2 feet of snow to pick up some drums.:Snow Flake: but it was a deal i could not pass up. thanks again.

yes the kit has all original slingerland heads. also came with cymbal stand snare stand, stool hi hat stand. all slingerland. also came with bags that they have been in for years. i do need ten bass drum claws and rods like the ones pictured. i thought i would take a pic of my vintage sets. i hope you like.Excited

I think the best thing to do for you and your wife, to get over this tiff, is box em up and just send em to me, that way you want have to be bothered with trying to find those pesky t rods and bass drum claws!!!!! Falling Do

Nice collection. Those lugs on the Pearl set match your's and my Tempro's lugs.. I knew the Tempro's were Pearl production, but wow...
