Willing to trade American drums for English drums. If you have a nice vintage Premier or Olympic AFRICAN mahogany shelled kit, please inquire. Prefer jazz sizes. 20 12 14 is my goal. I would like the kit to be as complete as possible. Thanks.
I am in Western Australia & have a 75 Kenny Clare kit.
14" x 22"
9" x 13"
16" x 16"
5" x 14" Hi Fi snare
original bass pedal, hi hat stand, cymbal stand & bass drum cymbal stand, bass drum cow bell mount & a premier tractor style stool.
The only thing the kit is missing is the inner linners inside the shells which can be made easy enough & the original wrap. The snare stand in the pics is not with the kit, the original lockfast snare stand is still in the UK. It is currently on ebay there are plenty of pics, I trade as dnodrums.
Cheers

The wrap and the Resonator liners are fairly integral pieces to that kit. While I'm sure it sounds very sweet, it's not what I'm seeking at this juncture. I sincerely appreciate the offer, though.

I am still looking. This is a forum. Could you respond here with your items? What do you have available? I'm ultimately looking for a transition kit with standard sized heads in African Mahogany. I would prefer jazz sizes. This is my wish list. Please let me know the kits and the finishes you have available. Thanks.

Hi I have a set of premier drums I would trade . they have the white wrap with the double red/black badges on each drum. Made in England, not sure about the wood because they are painted black on the inside shells. Not sure what year these were from I thought around early 80's . let me know if you know if this sounds like original condition and approx age of the kit. and/or if interested.

If I am correct in assuming this, I would bet Michael will say that those are not the Olympic series he is looking for, as those are the taiwaanese made drums, not the english made ones that he is looking for.

Michael,
I have a Premier D303 (1971 vintage mahogany in 20,16,14,12,14 Olympic snare) Comes with the funky flat base stands a la "Jetson's" space-age look). Needs a re-wrap though as the original silver foil wrap is torn off on a large section of the bass. HArdware is fine and pretty decent except missing a couple of set screws on the tom arms. Shells are in round and all rims are nice...

Sounds like a sweet and complete kit. I'm not sure I want to take on a rewrap job. I love the original wraps of these kits as that adds to the overall mojo.

The wrap on the toms and ft are fine. It's the bass that has about an 8X8" rip out of the wrap.
I love the stands and 14X9 mahogany tom, combined with the 12 and 16 gives a wide tuning range for jazz...The hi-hat is awesome on these kits!!.

It will take me awhile as this kit is stored and packed up.
I will attempt to have pics by the end of today.
Cheers!

Here are pics of the D303. The 12 is buried within the bass but is in the same relative condition as the other drums. The snare is the "Olympic" 8 lug in excellent shape with original English heads. All rims ar epresent and excllent. I took the rim off the 14" to expose the Mahogany.

Build-wise, those are what I'm looking for. Finish-wise ... ouch. That bass took a bad one. It's on top. I'm Bummed. This would need a rewrap. I reeeeeeealy don't want a rewrap for this kit. Dang. It's so close to being perfect.

Yep! I hesitated to buy this kit at all, but the hardware is so early '70's retro and the African Mahogany jazz shells sold me!! I paid $250 for it all , so I thought there was room for a re-wrap. It's getting around to it Help2

We might work something out. I need just a bit of time to think. Let me go to church and I should have some decision later today. I really like the build. Just have to see if I can come to grips with a rewrap.

If things don't work out with Mcjnic, I would be interested.
Could we say I'm next in line, or have you had other inquires?
Thanks

I'm tagged out. I really want a clean wrap on the kit. Thank you so much for the effort.

I understand that. Doing a re-wrap is a lot of work and makes it no longer original.
