I AM NOT REPSONDING TO THIS THREAD. PLEASE SEE "8-81 LUDWIG CLASSIC SHELL PACK" FOR FURTHER INFO ON THE ITEMS FOR SALE, THANKS-JS
AS OF THE TIME THE PIX WERE TAKEN NO CLEANING HAD BEEN DONE **PLEASE MAKE OFFERS BASED ON ITEM NUMBER**
1) Early 8os 16x24#2110710, 13x14#2158419, 12x13#2211149 in good condition, with seams starting to lift (**no apparent glue under the edges**)
Bass has tom rash as it "should" and one of the spurs is missing the rubber boot, the wing bolt for the tom arm has been replaced with a regular hex head bolt, all mounts are correct and work as they should, which is amazing given the sizes and weights of these MTs. Could use one nut replaced as it is starting to round. NO NUT KEY, however I do have a Lud t-rod key to go with. Pedal is NOT included.
2) Monroe era 16x16 Classic Mahogany Stain #3312956 a couple of small scuffs, nothing ugly
3) 20" 2002 Paiste Power Ride, in excellent condition #008340 SOLD--THANKS VADRUMS!
4) Camber Crystal hi-hats, ink stamps still intact with engraved stamp "West Germany", can't read the rest of the engraving due to lathe work.
DON'T BE SHY WITH ANY OFFERS, BUT PLEASE BE REASONABLE. I WOULD LIKE TO MOVE IT ALL THIS WEEK. IF THE DRUMS ARE GONE FOR REASONABLE $$$, I MAY ELECT TO KEEP THE 20".

Here's The Hi-hats and another of the 20. The Cambers are dry and clean with a nice bell, especially the bottom one. They actually make decent little crashes individually. The 20" has great sound, and stick definition with a good wash. I am losing my hearing (aren't we all), so ask any questions about the tone and I will answer best I can. Nice bell

With B/O badge on that bass drum, I'd hardly say those are Rockers. Serial numbers put those at 80-81, and Rockers didn't officially come out till 1984 I believe. You might be selling them short....

Well, Thank yo! And after I posted, I saw that on the Ludwig site, they did not become a named kit until then. Let us say then that these are large and in charge. Anyone know the official name of this config? I realize it is minus the original FT, but it is in the bargain bin as well....

Those are Classic 6-ply shells. They sound great as I have 3 sets of them. However, you better remeasure those. Ludwig did not make those sizes in that era. They are most likely 16 x 24, 13 x 14 , & 12 x 13.
Up until recently, Ludwig's bass drum molds were not deep enough to make anything deeper than 16". All of those custom Alex Van Halen type of really deep shells are Keller shells with Ludwig hardware.
Good luck with the sale....

I really don't know how I got 18....I did let my son help with the MTs, and I guess I just wasn't paying attention to the "details" on those.
What was I smokin'?? YOu are right.

Let me help you out. For instance, a body could make an offer and I would even remove the Cortex and do hand-laid sparkle in color of your choice if available on the 3 big bad boys for about what you would pay, or less, depending where you shop, for a new set of mid-priced low-end drums. These are indeed maple Classic shells, so now, someone take advantage of a deal!Excited Got the point? I said BARGAIN

Before and afters of lugs off clean/resto of the 13" These are in really amazing condition. I don't think the heads were ever off more than once. The bottom hoop of the 13 is flaking chrome, but there is no pitting of the classic lugs. If you want a really great set of drums, or for a kid that want s the big stadium filling sound, these are the ticket. All shells are fantastic.

I wish I could, but the wife wants her cash back before I can make any further deals. I ain't kiddin' about bargain pricing. If I have to finish cleaning these monsters, it is going to go up by about 50 bucks.....and that is a bargain for labor.
